Hawaii is the birthplace of the modern trolling lure, so it is befitting that the sport’s best craftsman put their pride and their products to test each year in the Lure Maker’s Challenge. In this one-of-a-kind event, sponsored teams fish their sponsor’s brand of lures only for annual bragging rights and sponsor rights for the following year’s running. The Bwana team won the 2024 Lure Maker’s Challenge branded division, earning Kraken Fish Co. this year’s title sponsorship.

All HMTS Tournaments abide by the International Game Fish Association’s International Angling Rules. Additional HMTS General Rules and specific Lure Makers Challenge Rules and Branded Division Rules also apply.
